Andrea Masmela

With over 12 years of experience in the dental field, Andrea brings a wealth of knowledge to help take care of her patients’ oral health. Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, Andrea had a passion for dentistry early on. She attended dental school in Bogota and graduated in 2004. She immigrated to Miami in 2005 where she quickly returned to her profession by receiving her dental assistant and x-ray certification. After working as a dental assistant in private practice, she later worked at Miami Children’s Hospital on pediatrics and adolescents. There she was tasked with assisting the doctors with many difficult patients, including special needs and extremely nervous children and adolescents. She continued her education and obtained her license in dental hygiene and certification to deliver local anesthetics. Her calm demeanor and positive attitude help alleviate her patient’s anxiety. These qualities along with her years of dental experience sets her apart. “ I am passionate about helping my patients with their oral health and becoming part of their healthcare team.” Andrea is happily married and resides in Miami with her husband; she loves spending time with her family and being outdoors swimming , diving and hiking. Her bucket list includes to learn to sail and cruise the French Polynesia in a catamaran and swim with giant manta rays.
